Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Hearing Examiner on behalf of its client, the District of Columbia Government, in support of Administrative Review functions in coordination with the DC Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). This is a full time, onsite position in Washington, DC, working 8 hours per day for an anticipated 249 working days.
Duties and Responsibilities
$18.40 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Residency Preference
District of Columbia residents will receive special preference points in the selection process.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply statutes, regulations, policy, and case law to write Administrative Review decisions in accordance with the Homeless Services Reform Act of 2005 (D.C. Official Code § 4-751.01 et seq.) and supporting regulations (29 DCMR § 2500 et seq.); research and analyze legal issues; and coordinate with the D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings to ensure proper docket management and timely responses to client appeals.
- Convene informal hearings to evaluate testamentary and documentary evidence, assess motions, and determine if the information presented supports the underlying action.
- Listen and provide mediation services to mixed audiences, specifically individuals receiving services within the District's Homeless Continuum of Care and the entities that deliver those services.
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of administrative law procedures, legal research and writing, evidence evaluation, and mediation
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
$18.40 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
