Cordset Manufacturing Assembler
Location: West El Paso
Pay: $15.55/hour
Position Summary
The Assembler performs basic product assembly and packaging in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn additional processes. Employees are expected to cross-train and advance into higher-level roles as opportunities become available.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and package products according to specifications
  • Ensure materials are correct and properly packaged before release
  • Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Set up equipment and maintain production readiness
  • Dispose of scrap materials in designated areas
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Report quality issues immediately
Cross-Training & Development
  • Participate in training on multiple roles and equipment
  • Rotate within the workgroup to maintain proficiency
  • Fill in for other positions as needed
Quality Expectations
  • Inspect materials prior to packaging
  • Verify all quality standards are met before product release
  • Escalate any defects or concerns promptly
Safety Requirements
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Perform pre-operation safety checks and hazard assessments
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S standards)
  • Adhere to environmental and material-handling guidelines
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic English proficiency (Spanish bilingual preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing or high-volume production preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, data entry, or SAP is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, lift (up to 45 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and manual handling
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and industrial materials
