Occupational Therapist OT / OTR

Location: Blue Palms of Daytona Beach

Job Type: Per Diem

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT / OTR) to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to help patients regain independence in daily activities following injury, illness, or surgery. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized treatment plans that enhance patients’ quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and outcomes.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to facilitate the rehabilitation process through therapeutic activities and exercises.
  • Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, adaptive techniques, and equipment use.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety protocols.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience in a rehabilitation or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
