Job Description
An Industrial CNC Saw Operator sets up, programs, and operates computer-controlled sawing machinery to cut metal, plastic, or wood materials to precise specifications. They interpret blueprints, load raw materials, monitor automated cutting processes, and perform quality checks using tools like calipers and tape measures. Key duties include machine maintenance, safety compliance, and production documentation
Core Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Set up and operate automated saws (single/multi-blade) for cutting materials like steel, tube, and plate.
- Programming/Operation: Input instructions into the CNC system, set stops/guides, and run test cuts to ensure accuracy.
- Material Handling: Load/unload raw materials and finished parts using overhead hoists or forklifts.
- Quality Control: Measure finished pieces to verify accuracy, checking against blueprints.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance (cleaning/lubricating) and ensure a safe, clean work area.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Mathematics: Proficiency in reading tape measures, working with fractions, and measuring tools.
- Experience: Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience (often 1–3 years).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
