This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer from either the civil or commercial construction space who wants to broaden their experience and build a long-term career in project management. The compensation package includes 100% employer-paid medical coverage for employees, along with a company vehicle and gas card.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, soils information, and other project documents.
- Perform material and quantity takeoffs for a variety of construction scopes.
- Request, organize, and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Assist with preparing estimates, bids, and proposal responses.
- Support project startup, handoff, procurement, and buyout activities.
- Assist with subcontracting, insurance requirements, submittals, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with field leadership on project planning, scheduling, material procurement, RFIs, and changing site conditions.
- Track project costs and assist with forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting.
- Support contract administration, billing, change management, and related project documentation.
- Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranties, and final payment requirements.
Project Engineer Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, ideally in civil construction.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; equivalent construction industry experience may also be considered.
- Understanding of the construction project lifecycle, with exposure to both estimating and project management activities.
- Comfortable working with technology used for estimating, takeoffs, scheduling, cost tracking, and contract administration.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and related project management applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000
