Job Summary:
Shema Kolainu - Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. As a Occupational Therapist (OT) at SKHOV, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students through individual and small group therapy, goal development, and progress monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group therapy to students aged 0-12
Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Conduct evaluations and prepare progress reports
Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and behavioral staff to ensure comprehensive support for students
Participate in team meetings and parent communication to ensure effective communication and parental involvement
Requirements:
NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) candidate
Experience working with children with autism and related disorders preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
12-month contract
