Working nights is tough!! We offer a Flexible Work Policy which allows employees to modify their arrival and departure time.


Shift : (3) 13 hour shifts per week (Overnight) - 2:1 Ratio

Shift 1: Sunday-Tuesday

Shift 2: Wednesday - Friday


Responsibilities:

  • Reviews history/physical information, medications, test requests and study protocol.
  • Completes and verifies all documentation, i.e. pre and post sleep questionnaires, technician notes.
  • Explains the procedure/orients the patient to the sleep center.
  • Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and makes adjustments if necessary.
  • Applies electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.
  • Performs appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and makes adjustments if necessary.
  • Performs routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
  • Follows procedural protocols (e.g., HSAT, MSLT, parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration, etc.) to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Performs polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free and makes adjustments, if necessary.
  • Documents routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
  • Implements appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.
  • Assists with scoring sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
  • Assists with scoring clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.) with center specific protocols.
  • Assists with generation of accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
  • Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
  • Performs routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
  • Demonstrates effective written and spoken communication skills.
  • Responds to study participant's procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.
  • Keeps equipment orderly, clean and in good repair.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Certifications: Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) (RST) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
