Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team within a skilled nursing facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help residents improve mobility, restore function, and maximize independence. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility training

  • Assist residents in improving strength, endurance, and safety with daily activities

  • Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist

  • Accurately document treatments and resident progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercise programs and safety techniques

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care

  • Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA

  • CPR certification required

  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply
