Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment

Location: Los Angeles, California

An opportunity is available for an Associate Attorney within a Labor & Employment practice supporting public education institutions and public agencies. The position advises K-12 school districts and community college clients on operational legal matters affecting educational environments.

The attorney will work collaboratively across Labor & Employment, Student Services, and Public Agency Governance teams while assisting clients with employment counseling, legal analysis, policy development, and operational guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Advise educational institutions regarding labor and employment issues
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Draft employment-related policies and documentation
• Counsel clients on employment and operational matters
• Collaborate across practice teams supporting public entities
• Provide strategic guidance to institutional clients

Candidate Profile:

• 1–4 years of Labor & Employment experience required
• Experience representing employers, public entities, school districts, or educational organizations preferred
• Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities
• Active California Bar membership required

Compensation & Benefits:

• $120,000 – $160,000 base compensation depending on experience
