Speech Language Therapist
Advanced Behavioral Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team in Beachwood, OH. As a Speech Language Pathologist with Advanced Behavioral Therapy, you will play a vital role in helping children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) improve their communication skills. Our team of highly skilled, caring professionals prioritizes your child's needs and strives to stay up-to-date with the latest research and studies to provide the best and most effective treatment available.
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments for children with ASD and related developmental disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with the ABA team
Provide speech therapy sessions to children, including one-on-one and small group sessions
Work closely with Behavior Analysts and other team members to integrate speech and language goals with ABA programs
Provide parent and caregiver training to enhance communication strategies at home
Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing input and collaborating to ensure the best outcomes for clients
Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and behavior analysis
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active and unrestricted license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ohio
Active license with the Ohio Department of Education, or willingness to obtain
Experience working with toddler age children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to provide family-centered care and work effectively with parents and caregivers
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Job Type:
Part-time, Monday-Friday, 10-15 hours per week with growth opportunities
