Job Description:
Coral Rehabilitation & Nursing of Austin is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care that helps patients regain mobility, improve strength, and achieve greater functional independence.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility assistance
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families on exercises and care plans
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic rehabilitation environment
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Texas PTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in subacute or skilled nursing setting preferred, but not required
