10K Forklift Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a 10K Forklift Operator for a company based in Pelham, AL. The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for safely operating a 10,000-pound forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage building materials throughout the lumber yard. The ideal candidate will have experience handling oversized materials in an outdoor environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, efficiency.

$17.00 an hour

Monday through Friday, 6:00am – till done

10K Forklift Operator- Associate- Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a 10K forklift to move lumber, trusses, siding, roofing materials, and other building products throughout the yard.
- Load and unload customer vehicles, flatbeds, and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
- Pull, stage, and verify customer orders for accuracy.
- Organize and maintain inventory within designated yard locations
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Ensure materials are secured and properly stored to prevent damage.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all OSHA, company, and site safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service when assisting drivers, contractors, and customers in the yard.
- Work closely with yard personnel, dispatch, and management to ensure timely order fulfillment.
10K Forklift Operator- Associate- Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of forklift experience in a lumber yard or pipe yard operating a 10,000 lb. forklift.
- Ability to safely handle large, heavy, and oversized materials.
- Able to work outdoors
- Lumber yard or building materials experience
- Ability to read work orders and shipping documents
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
