Job Description

Location: Wichita, KS
Pay: Starting at $20.00+ per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Eval-Hire

A day in this role

Picture your morning starting with a quick scan of overnight work orders, gearing up your tools, and heading out to ensure residents wake up to comfortable, well-maintained homes. By midday, you might be diagnosing an electrical issue, patching drywall in a common hallway, and tuning an HVAC unit. In the afternoon, you’re turning a recently vacated apartment—inspecting, repairing, and cleaning—so it’s ready for its next resident. When weather rolls through, you jump in to keep grounds clear and safe. Throughout the day, you’re the trusted pro who solves problems quickly and treats every resident interaction with care.

What you’ll handle
  • Close out maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Perform multi-trade repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and basic carpentry.
  • Prepare vacant units for move-in with thorough inspections, necessary fixes, and final cleaning.
  • Conduct routine property walks and preventative maintenance to head off future issues.
  • Keep common areas, amenities, and grounds tidy and in good working order.
  • Respond to urgent calls and after-hours needs when on-call.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and building systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Work safely and in alignment with company policies and standards.
  • Support seasonal needs such as landscaping, snow removal, and other weather-related upkeep.
What you bring
  • Experience in apartment, handyman, or facilities maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
  • Comfort and safety using hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a customer-first approach.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outside in changing weather.
  • HVAC certification is a plus, not a requirement.
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • Some on-call and after-hours emergency maintenance required
