Job Description

Job Description
Job description Residential Coordinator - Support People with Disabilities

Some days you're tracking down a doctor's appointment. Other days you're helping someone plan a trip to see family, or just figuring out the one thing that would make somebody's whole week better.

Honestly, it's never the same two days in a row. You notice what somebody needs, even when they can't quite say it themselves, and then you go make it happen. Connecting people to the right resources, the right support, the right person who can help.

Sometimes it's bigger than that. Maybe someone you support falls in love, and their family doesn't get it at first. You're the one who helps everyone see what actually matters.

You'll learn something new pretty much every day. It never gets stagnant. And at the end of the day, you know exactly why what you did mattered.

This is a small, close-knit team. When someone needs to take time off for family, the team steps up so it actually happens. People here notice when you're carrying too much, and they have your back.

"Honestly, [why I stay], it's the people I help give the best life they can have. It's the ability to dig in and figure out what we can do to make something better for someone." –Sandy, Residential Coordinator

You don't need a background in this field to do this job well. A degree in psychology, sociology, education, counseling, or nursing is a great fit, and so is real-life experience that taught you the same things a degree would.
