Metrology and Quality Assurance Technician -- Precision Machining

A day in the lab

At SCREW MACHINE PRODUCT COMPANY in Euclid, OH 44132, your morning starts by checking gages, setting up the optical comparator, and verifying calipers and micrometers. You’ll pull prints, review engineering specs, and run lab tests that verify our metal components meet exacting standards. Midday, you’ll partner with teammates to troubleshoot a measurement anomaly, document findings on the computer, and communicate corrective actions. Before you wrap up, you’ll tidy benches, label samples, and leave the lab inspection-ready.

What you will do

• Perform laboratory tests and measurements in line with established protocols.
• Work closely with peers to diagnose and resolve technical or dimensional issues.
• Read and interpret documents, including blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Maintain an orderly, clean lab that follows best practices for safety and organization.
