We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to join our skilled nursing facility. The Maintenance Director will oversee the facility’s physical plant, equipment, grounds, and maintenance operations while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations of the facility.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and essential infrastructure.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and other facility systems.
Ensure the facility remains compliant with applicable federal, state, local, OSHA, fire safety, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and required documentation.
Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and vendors as needed.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and facility-related issues.
Inspect the building and grounds regularly and identify potential safety hazards or needed repairs.
Assist with emergency preparedness, disaster planning, and facility safety programs.
Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory while working within the facility’s budget.
Supervise and provide direction to maintenance staff, as applicable.
Work collaboratively with nursing, administration, housekeeping, dietary, and other departments.
Participate in surveys and inspections and promptly address identified deficiencies.
Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and resident-centered environment.
Previous maintenance management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
Knowledge of life-safety systems, emergency preparedness, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to emergencies.
Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant certifications preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
