Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Community Skilled Health Care Centre

Community Skilled Health Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. The COTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist while helping residents achieve their functional goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments according to established care plans and physician orders

  • Assist residents in improving functional abilities, mobility, independence, and quality of life

  • Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve daily living skills

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate changes with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team

  • Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely

  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other departments to support resident-centered care

  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
