Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team! As a COTA, you will provide care and assistance to our residents, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. This is a part-time and full-time opportunity, with full-time coverage a priority.
Responsibilities:
• Assist occupational therapists in the implementation of treatment plans and provision of resident care
• Conduct daily living skills training, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Provide cognitive training, such as memory exercises and problem-solving activities
• Assist with transfer training, ambulation, and mobility exercises
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document resident progress and treatment notes in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• 6+months or more of experience in occupational therapy or a related field
• Ability to work part-time and/or full-time schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
