Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Northbrook, IL
Hire Type: Contract | Approximately 3–4 weeks, with potential to extend
Pay Rate: $28.00–$30.00/hour
Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, BCBS medical plans, dental/vision plans, 401(k), & ESOP
Work Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00AM – 2:30PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking 2 temporary Maintenance Technicians to provide hands-on maintenance support at a metal fabrication facility that manufactures dental instruments. This is a short-term assignment with the potential to extend based on business needs.
The ideal candidates will have manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while responding quickly to equipment needs.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Industrial Maintenance: Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Skills: Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
  • Electrical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and address basic electrical/equipment issues.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify equipment problems.
  • Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs or adjustments.
  • Perform hands-on repairs, adjustments, and component replacements as needed.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential maintenance issues before they impact production.
  • Work closely with Production and other maintenance personnel to prioritize equipment needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized work area.
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and respond quickly to equipment issues.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
