As a PTA at Ridge Valley, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality, resident-centered rehabilitation services that support improved function and quality of life.
Position DetailsPosition: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Employment Type: PRN
Setting: Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care
Schedule: Flexible PRN hours with day shift availability preferred
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist residents with improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to meet resident goals and improve outcomes.
Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and daily notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist with discharge planning and educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and continued care.
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated resident care.
Participate in care conferences, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support therapy department needs and provide coverage at nearby affiliated facilities as needed.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.
Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
Ability to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
