Position Summary
The X-ray Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams, supports accurate provider interpretation, ensures patient safety and comfort, and collaborates with physicians, radiologists, and care teams to deliver exceptional orthopedic patient care.
Offering 4 10-hour shifts (7:00am-5:30pm) or 5 8-hour shifts (8:00am-4:30pm), No Weekends
Pay Information: $28-$38/hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
Imaging
- Perform diagnostic X-ray exams independently using appropriate radiographic techniques and protocols.
- Position patients accurately and select proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Evaluate images for quality, positioning, and completeness; repeat images as needed according to department standards.
- Prepare, educate, and support patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Complete required documentation and coordinate exam results with providers and care teams.
Patient Care
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication throughout each exam.
- Assist patients safely with positioning, transfers, mobility, and exam preparation.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
- Support patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow radiation safety practices, ALARA principles, infection control procedures, and department policies.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and report equipment performance or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Complete required compliance, safety, and continuing education training.
Department Support
- Cross-train and assist team members as needed to support department coverage and workflow.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment readiness.
- Travel between Panorama locations when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current ARRT Radiography Certification required; must maintain certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Current applicable state licensure, if required.
- 1–2 years of orthopedic or outpatient radiology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of radiographic principles, anatomy, physiology, positioning, radiation safety, and imaging protocols.
- Familiarity with EPIC, HIPAA, OSHA requirements, and radiation safety standards.
- Strong computer, communication, patient care, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday. Must be able to assist patients with positioning, transfers, and mobility as needed while maintaining safety for the patient and team members.
