Position overview:
The Quality Control Technician works directly with the Manufacturing and/or Distribution locations to ensure that all laboratory inspections are completed accurately, and in a timely manner, and ensures that the results are documented in all applicable systems as directed by documented work instructions. Shift times go from 6:30am-4:30pm.
Main responsibilities:
• Receipt of samples and requirements documentation into the Laboratory.
• Maintenance of the electronic workload tracking system
• Completion of Laboratory testing in line with documented test methods
• The collection of specified data for the generation of Laboratory KPI’s
• Laboratory Concern and Corrective Action Management
• Use of Q.A./Laboratory measuring and test equipment
• Understanding of products, surface coatings, locking/sealing patches and heat treatment
• Generation of Laboratory Test Reports
• Maintenance of sample and documentation archives
• Control of specifications and reference materials
• Laboratory housekeeping
• Management of laboratory consumables
• Management of temperature / humidity control records
• Maintenance of the laboratory calibration system
• Control / Back-up of Laboratory IT systems

Skills and Qualifications:
• Prior experience using precision measurement instruments in an industrial setting
(ex. Micrometer,Caliper)
• Blueprint reading. GD&T is a plus.
• 1 year relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience preferred.
• Fastener experience preferred, but not required.
• Business software proficiency including Microsoft Excel.
• Working proficiency of basic mathematics to include fractions, addition and subtraction of signed numbe
