Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing team for our day and evening shifts.
As a CNA, you will provide direct, hands-on care while assisting residents with activities of daily living, mobility, personal hygiene, nutrition, and other individualized needs. Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you will play an essential role in promoting resident dignity, independence, safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
Our CNAs are an essential part of the clinical team and often spend more direct time with residents than any other team member. Your ability to recognize changes in condition, communicate concerns, build meaningful relationships, and provide compassionate care directly contributes to positive resident outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesResident Care & Activities of Daily Living
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, eating, and personal care
Provide toileting and incontinence care while maintaining resident privacy, dignity, and comfort
Assist residents with meals, hydration, feeding, and nutritional needs in accordance with individualized care plans
Promote resident independence by encouraging residents to participate in their care to the greatest extent possible
Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support to residents
Respond promptly, respectfully, and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance
Mobility & Resident Safety
Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and other mobility needs in accordance with individualized care plans
Utilize mechanical lifts, gait belts, wheelchairs, and other resident-care equipment according to training and established procedures
Reposition residents as directed to promote comfort, mobility, and skin integrity
Follow established fall-prevention and resident-safety interventions
Maintain resident rooms and care areas in a clean, organized, safe, and comfortable condition
Immediately communicate resident safety concerns to the supervising nurse
Observation & Changes in Condition
Accurately obtain, record, and report vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure, as assigned
Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or functional condition
Promptly report significant changes or concerns to the supervising licensed nurse
Observe and report concerns related to pain, skin integrity, mobility, appetite, hydration, elimination, behavior, and overall resident condition
Immediately report falls, injuries, accidents, incidents, or other resident-safety concerns according to facility procedures
Respond appropriately to emergency situations and immediately obtain nursing assistance when necessary
Care Plans, Documentation & Communication
Follow individualized resident care plans and nursing instructions
Accurately and timely document assigned resident care and services
Communicate resident needs, concerns, and changes in condition to licensed nursing staff
Participate in shift communication and provide relevant resident information to appropriate team members
Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, nurses, CNAs, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
Protect resident privacy, confidentiality, dignity, preferences, and personal belongings
Infection Prevention & Compliance
Follow infection prevention and control practices, including proper hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), and applicable transmission-based precautions
Maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable federal and Wyoming requirements governing skilled nursing care
Follow established emergency, safety, infection prevention, and resident-care procedures
Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, mistreatment, or other resident-safety concerns in accordance with facility procedures
Participate in required in-services, training programs, competency evaluations, and continuing education
Maintain all certifications and requirements necessary for continued employment as a CNA
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Wyoming, in good standing
Must meet applicable requirements for employment as a CNA in a skilled nursing environment
Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, or healthcare experience preferred; qualified new CNAs are encouraged to apply
Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care to residents with varying physical and cognitive needs
Strong observation skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately report changes in resident condition
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow individualized care plans, nursing instructions, and established safety procedures
