The Orchards at Canterbury on the Lake, a premier senior living community in Waterford Township, Michigan, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of residents, providing individualized speech therapy services to support their cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop personalized speech therapy plans for residents with various diagnoses and needs

  • Implement and modify evidence-based therapies to improve communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal outcomes

  • Monitor and track resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

  • Provide education and training to caregivers and family members on speech therapy techniques and communication strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

  • Minimum 0 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Must hold or be eligible for certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
