The Orchards at Canterbury on the Lake, a premier senior living community in Waterford Township, Michigan, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of residents, providing individualized speech therapy services to support their cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs.
Responsibilities:
Assess and develop personalized speech therapy plans for residents with various diagnoses and needs
Implement and modify evidence-based therapies to improve communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal outcomes
Monitor and track resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
Provide education and training to caregivers and family members on speech therapy techniques and communication strategies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Minimum 0 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Must hold or be eligible for certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
