Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work on a per-diem basis with our occupational therapy team. The successful candidate will assist occupational therapists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans

  • Conduct Occupational Therapy assistants' in the areas of daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and bathing

  • Provide patient education and training on adaptive techniques and assistive devices

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans

  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements

  • Active license & certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Missouri

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility and transfer techniques

  • Basic knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles
