Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) per diem

· Available Weekdays and/or Weekends.

· Works under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.

· Performs patient related activities as are assigned by the supervising occupational therapist.

· Documents observations of patient’s behavior and progress in the daily notes, progress notes, recertifications, and discharge notes.

· Completes and maintains timely documentation.

· Maintains statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by occupational therapist.

· Meets with the supervising occupational therapist regularly to review the implementation of treatment plans and to foster professional development.

· Provides quality, personalized and evidence-based care, and proven interventions.

· Performs all position duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position, and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors of this facility.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor, management staff or Administrator
