What will I do as a Speech Language Pathologist for The Wesley Community?

Our Speech and Language Pathologists work closely with in our in-patient long term care residents and short term rehab patients to restore activities of daily living. A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required of Speech Language Pathologists include:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual client needs.

  • Provide counseling and support to clients and their families.

  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop treatment plans.

  • Keep detailed records of client progress.

  • Maintain a safe environment for clients.

  • Provide education and training to clients and their families.

Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Program

  • Current New York State SLP License

  • Experience in Subacute and/or Long-Term care a plus, but not required
