Responsibilities:
- Assessment:Conducting thorough evaluations of residents' physical condition, including range of motion, strength, balance, and pain levels.
- Treatment Planning:Developing individualized treatment plans based on the assessment, incorporating exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Implementation:Guiding residents through exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Equipment Training:Instructing residents on the proper use of assistive devices like walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
- Monitoring and Adjustment:Regularly assessing residents' progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Education:Educating residents and their families on strategies for fall prevention, pain management, and home exercise programs.
- Collaboration:Working closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Documentation:Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
- Falls Prevention:Implementing strategies to reduce the risk of falls, such as balance training and environmental modifications.
- Pain Management:Utilizing various techniques to help residents manage pain and improve their comfort levels.
- Promoting Independence:Empowering residents to regain or maintain their independence in daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and eating.
