Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.POSITION INTRODUCTION: A preferred subject matter expert in Social Security's Ticket to Work program, guiding beneficiaries through the process of achieving competitive, community‑based employment. This role prefers knowledge of TTW policies, Timely Progress requirements, work incentives, and the vocational challenges commonly experienced by SSA beneficiaries. Leveraging this expertise, the specialist evaluates referral appropriateness, develops individualized employment plans, delivers job readiness training, and ensures compliance with all TTW documentation and reporting standards. Many employees have $0 monthly medical insurance premiums.Dental, vision, life and array of other insurance plans to choose from.Employee Assistance Program.Vacation, sick leave and extended sick leave plus holidays and floating holidays.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to operate a motor vehicle.Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.Ability to work effectively independently and in a team-orientated environment.Ability to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance.Assess the appropriateness of Ticket to Work referrals for competitive, community-based employment services.Conduct job‑seeking skills training individually or in group settings.Identify appropriate employment fields and career pathways for each ticketholder.Develop job opportunities through job analysis, employer consultation, and recommendations for job modifications when needed.Create and maintain an Individual Work Plan (IWP) for each participant.Report Timely Progress for all ticketholders using the documentation system.Meet monthly engagement and placement expectations.QUALIFICATIONS:Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.Exceptional organizational skills a must.Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and working with persons with disabilities; OR Associate's Degree and two years full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to social work and two years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities; OR High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and four years of full-time professional and/or volunteer experience in a social work setting and at least one year working with persons with disabilities.WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE:Monday-Friday.We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage all qualified persons with disabilities and veterans to apply.
