We are seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join the in-house rehab team! *PRN also available. Must have 1 year of experience with ASHA ceritfication.
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Coronado Ridge Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents with complex speech, language, and swallowing disorders. About the Role:
As an SLP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders, including cognitive-communication disorders, apraxia, and dysarthria.
You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognitive functions, and swallowing abilities.
You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.
You will participate in team meetings, family conferences, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, and swallowing functions.
Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication, cognitive, and swallowing deficits.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions, including speech therapy, language therapy, and swallowing therapy.
Participate in interprofessional collaboration to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Document resident progress and outcomes in accordance with center policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
