Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)


LOCATION: Butte, MT

JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent


We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a growing outpatient rehabilitation team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients improve mobility, regain function, and achieve meaningful outcomes in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to help patients progress through customized treatment plans and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in carrying out individualized treatment programs developed by Physical Therapists.
  • Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercise instruction.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the care team.
  • Document treatment sessions and patient responses accurately and efficiently.
  • Educate patients on home exercises, wellness strategies, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive treatment environment.
  • Collaborate with therapists and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with best practices and continue professional development.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
  • Current or eligible PTA licensure
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate patients
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Prior outpatient Physical Therapy experience preferred but not required

Preferred Experience

Experience working with one or more of the following patient populations is helpful:

  • Orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Sports medicine
  • Geriatrics
  • Post-surgical recovery
  • Functional movement and mobility programs
