About the Role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work closely with our physical therapist to design and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with a wide range of conditions and diagnoses. You will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing physical therapy interventions to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient evaluations and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
Provide physical therapy interventions to patients, including exercises, stretches, and other forms of physical therapy
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
Assist with the setup and breakdown of treatment areas and equipment
Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Participate in continuous education and professional development to advance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program from an accredited institution
Current PTA certification in the state of Michigan
12 months of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
