Tutor

The Tutor will primarily conduct both group and individual tutoring sessions focusing on core subjects for students in grades K-6. Tutor must be able to plan lessons to fill educational gaps as well as diversify learning programs in an inclusive environment. Working primarily in-person, the Tutor aims to fill educational gaps and advance student learning by aligning with the curriculum and adapting teaching methods to each learner's needs. Reporting to a Senior Tutor, this role involves consistent communication with parents and monitoring student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group tutoring sessions to address common learning gaps
• Provide individualized support tailored to student needs
• Plan lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly
• Evaluate student performance and identify areas for improvement
• Coach students on effective study and learning skills
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
• Provide constructive feedback to encourage student growth

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of tutoring experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
• Strong subject matter expertise in core subjects
• Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum alignment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
• Effective time management and motivational abilities
