Optician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with selecting frames, lenses, and lens options based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Interpret and accurately fill eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions.
• Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and other fitting measurements.
• Verify, adjust, fit, and dispense eyeglasses and other optical products.
• Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, frame options, and eyewear care.
• Perform frame adjustments and minor repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with optometrists and other team members to ensure excellent patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming, professional, and positive patient experience.
• Stay current on optical products, technology, and industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must have BOTH NCOE + ABO certifications.
• Previous experience working as an optician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, frames, and fitting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
