Broadview is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and organized Part-Time Full-Charge Chef to prepare and serve our daily noon meal for a small residential care community.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating nutritious, attractive meals in a warm and caring environment. The Chef will take ownership of the meal service while working with available kitchen assistance and collaborating on menu planning and nutritional needs.

Schedule

• Part-time
• One primary meal preparation per day (lunch service), oversight of other prep
• Flexible hours based on meal preparation requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee service of the daily lunch meal for approximately 10-15 residents/patients
• Create appetizing, nutritious, and visually appealing meals
• Direct and work alongside kitchen assistants
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
• Assist with menu planning and nutritional considerations
• Adjust portion sizes and plating based on individual resident needs and dietary requirements
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Monitor food inventory and communicate ordering needs

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, cook, or kitchen manager preferred
• Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary needs
• Ability to prepare meals with attention to presentation and quality
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain one

Compensation
