Construction Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• • Set up and maintain project documentation, including job site files, drawing logs, RFIs, and submittals
  • Manage document control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and distribution of project information
  • Utilize Procore construction management software for file management, reporting, and communication
  • Coordinate the distribution and tracking of subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and field-generated documentation
  • Support quality control (QC) processes, including inspection, punch list, and compliance document tracking
  • Support RFI and submittal processes, ensuring timely responses and project continuity
  • Assist with preconstruction activities, including bid & buyout support and plan/specification distribution
  • Collaborate with superintendents and project managers to resolve project issues and maintain schedule
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Prepare project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals and final deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• • 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Honesty and dependability
  • Must be able to pass government security clearance requirements
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Preferred:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Procore and Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling (Primavera P6 or OPC a plus)
  • Experience with USACE projects and Resident Management System (RMS)
