Position Details:
- Schedule:
- Monday-Friday,
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Responsibilities:
- Be present, engage and respond along with the children.
- Plan environments and experiences to provoke children's thinking.
- Maintain an attractive and engaging classroom.
- Document children's progress based on their curiosities.
- Ensure compliance with all DCYF regulations.
Qualifications:
- Classroom experience working with children 24- 36 months.
- Respect for children with a joyful and present attitude every day.
- Ability to create a dynamic environment where play and learning thrive.
- Ability to document children's play and plan accordingly for future experiences.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Requirements:
- Cleared DCYF background check before start date
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Bloodborne pathogen training.
- Food Handler’s Card.
- Proof of negative TB test
Preferences:
- Two years of experience teaching in a toddler classroom.
- Early childhood education degree (BA or AA preferred).
- 30 hours of STARS training completed.
- Fluent Bilingual written and verbal skills are a plus.
