Commercial Landscaper / Painter

$19–$24/hr + gas allowance | Full-Time | Fresno, CA

Blok Construction & Maintenance is hiring one skilled maintenance technician with a background in either landscaping or painting to join our team. We maintain approximately 500,000 SF of Class A commercial office and retail properties in Fresno. This is a hands-on, all-trades role with real room to grow – not a dead-end gig.

The Quick Version:

You bring the landscaping or painting skills. We teach you the rest. You will work on some of the best commercial properties in the Central Valley alongside a small, experienced crew where your work actually matters. Starting pay is $19/hour and moves up based on how good you are, how fast you work, and the quality you put out.

Day to Day:

• General building maintenance across commercial properties – HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, doors, locks, ceilings

• If landscaping is your trade: grounds maintenance, irrigation and sprinkler repair, pressure washing, and site work across the portfolio

• If painting is your trade: interior and exterior commercial painting with a focus on efficiency and clean finish work

• Respond to tenant work orders and occasional emergency calls

• Support tenant improvement build-outs and coordinate with subcontractors

Requirements:

• 2+ years hands-on experience in landscaping OR painting (commercial or residential)

• Willing to learn and cross-train into other maintenance trades

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without supervision

• Professional around tenants and property managers

• Valid driver’s license, clean record, and personal vehicle (gas allowance provided)

Bonus:

• Bilingual English/Spanish

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical beyond your primary trade

• Interest in getting your General Contractor’s license – we’ll support that
