Construction Accounting Specialist

Job Overview: We offer a full-time position with benefits in Orlando, FL. This role in the construction industry and requires a detail-oriented individual to handle high-volume payable and/or receivable transactions. In order for you to be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel. An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of payments and the accounting process. Experience in Bolt, Buildertrend and/or QuickBooks is a plus. This is an in-person position. We do not offer a remote position at this time.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and process vendor and supplier invoices for payment according to company guidelines

Process and reconcile customer payments every week

Streamline invoice approval and manage discrepancies

Schedule, organize and prepare payments in a timely manner via checks, ACH or electronic transfer for vendors and suppliers

Assist in resolving discrepancies in purchase orders and invoices

Performing internal vendor reconciliation when required

Keep historical records by filing documents

Send remittance emails to vendors and suppliers

Process change orders and backcharges from builders

Assisting in streamlining the accounts payable process

Work with other account specialists to resolve account issues when necessary

Perform other duties as assigned
