Position Overview

A leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and specialty inks is seeking a technically driven Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and identify new design-in opportunities across advanced manufacturing markets, including electronics, medical devices, automotive, aerospace, and other highly engineered OEM sectors.

The Regional Sales Manager will serve as the commercial and technical bridge between the company and customer engineering/manufacturing teams, helping solve complex application challenges and drive the qualification and adoption of advanced materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive customer qualification processes and support dispensing, screen printing, jetting, and pad printing applications.
  • Work directly with engineering teams to understand substrates, joint design, surface energies, and thermal/mechanical requirements.
  • Recommend appropriate adhesive, coating, or ink solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from technical discovery through testing, qualification, approval, and production scale-up.
  • Grow existing accounts and develop new OEM opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate quoting, testing, samples, customer trials, and product approvals.
  • Travel 30–50% to customer manufacturing sites for technical and commercial engagements.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering — Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in adhesives, coatings, or specialty inks within Applications Engineering or Technical Sales.
  • Knowledge of epoxies, urethanes, acrylics, silicones, and UV, thermal, and moisture curing mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with automated dispensing and printing equipment.
  • Ability to travel 30–50% regionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-reliability OEM manufacturing.
  • Experience in semiconductor packaging, PCB assembly, medical devices/wearables, printed electronics, or aerospace.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar CRM platforms.
  • Experience managing complex technical sales cycles and quoting processes.
