CDL Class B Driver with Passenger Endorsemnt
Job Description
Schedule: Flexible hours, Monday-Friday & every other Saturday, including occasional evenings.
The Black Cultural Zone CDC is seeking a reliable and community-focused Driver to support transportation needs throughout the community. You will serve as a welcoming point of contact for passengers and help connect community members with BCZ resources, events, and programs.
As a designated driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles, including passenger transportation, equipment, and materials. Vehicles include Box Trucks and Shuttles as well as Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs), such as golf carts and electric trikes.
Responsibilities
Safely transport passengers, team members, equipment, and/or materials as needed.
Serve as a friendly and professional host for passengers.
Act as a “Neighborhood Messenger,” helping connect passengers and community members with BCZ resources, events, and community programs.
Maintain reliable, on-time routes and transportation schedules.
Perform and track preventative vehicle maintenance.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid CDL with passenger endorsement.
1–2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working with and interacting with members of the community.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Must be willing to complete a drug screening.
Certifications & Training
CPR, First Aid, and food handling certifications are preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who do not already hold these certifications.
