About the Role:
Tank Security Team is looking for a motivated and professional Security Officer to help keep the energy positive and the environment safe at special events, theatres, and local entertainment venues across Lincoln, NE. Ninety-nine percent of our work occurs between Thursday and Sunday morning, concluding no later than 3 a.m. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of Lincoln's live entertainment scene while making a real impact on guest and staff safety. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas at special events, theatre productions, and entertainment venues
- Control access points, check credentials, and manage crowd flow at entry and exit locations
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies and coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary
- Enforce venue policies and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct pre-event walkthroughs and security assessments of venue spaces
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence
- Write accurate incident reports and document any security-related events
Requirements:
- Strong situational awareness and conflict de-escalation skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during events
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require
- Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance and demeanor
