Asbestos Abatement Specialist

The Asbestos Abatement Supervisor plays a critical role in safely removing asbestos from residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites. Working with small teams of 2-5 members, this specialist ensures meticulous site preparation, waste disposal, and air quality monitoring while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Frequent travel to various locations is required to perform thorough asbestos abatement and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos removal using standardized abatement techniques
• Prepare work sites to ensure safety and containment
• Dispose of asbestos waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Conduct air monitoring before, during, and after abatement procedures
• Maintain compliance with asbestos safety regulations and protocols
• Operate and maintain specialized abatement equipment and hand tools
• Coordinate within small teams (2-5 members) to complete projects efficiently
• Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish on site

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in asbestos abatement
• Asbestos Abatement Supervisor Certification
• Proficiency in asbestos abatement techniques and personal protective equipment usage
• Skilled in air quality monitoring and regulatory compliance
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication skills
• Fluency in both Spanish and English
