Medical Assistant Dermatology

We are looking for a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our growing team at Bellmore Dermatology. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care in a dermatology setting.

You’ll assist providers with both medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, help ensure a smooth patient experience, and maintain a clean and efficient clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures

• Take and document patient histories and vital signs

• Assist providers during biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments

• Set up and clean treatment rooms before and after procedures

• Apply and remove dressings or bandages as directed

• Handle specimen labeling and submission to labs

• Manage inventory of medical and skincare supplies

• Provide post-procedure instructions and patient education

• Support front desk or administrative staff when needed (scheduling, phone calls, EMR updates)

Qualifications

• Previous dermatology or medical assisting experience preferred

• Knowledge of common dermatology procedures and terminology a plus

• Strong attention to detail and patient confidentiality

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills

• EMR experience preferred

• Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus, but not required
