HEAVY EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Michigan Underground Specialists in Howell, MI is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join their hardworking team. This is a hands-on opportunity to keep critical underground construction equipment running at peak performance. · Ensure a positive customer service experience and high levels of satisfaction.

· Inspect and diagnose equipment brought in for repair.

· Wash equipment being repaired.

· Consult with product support when necessary.

· Look up parts and prepare repair estimates, suggest repairs that may be required soon.

· Complete all necessary repairs for assigned work orders.

· Ensure parts used are documented.

· Test and verify correct operation of all repairs.

· Perform preventative maintenance, fabrication, and welding, as assigned.

· Perform new equipment PDI’s.

· Maintain a clean/safe/organized work area and shop.

· Perform necessary building and grounds maintenance, including clearing snow from the parking lot.

· Adhere to all safety protocols.

· Complete required online and in-person training.

· Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED

Mechanical background and welding experience

Construction equipment dealership experience

Strong work ethic

High level of integrity

Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
