Summer Farmers Market Attendant
Irene’s Diner
We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Farmers Market Attendant to represent Irene’s Diner at local markets this summer through fall. This is a hands-on, independent role perfect for someone who enjoys early mornings, customer interaction, and being part of a small food business.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Season runs June 2 through October
Pay
- $150 per market day
Responsibilities
- Transport products and equipment to and from market locations
- Set up and break down tent, tables, and full market booth
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Keep booth organized, stocked, and visually appealing
- Represent the Irene’s brand with a positive, professional attitude
Requirements
- Must have a reliable car (you’ll be responsible for transport + setup)
- Strong customer service skills and a great attitude
- Comfortable handling cash and working independently
- Punctual, dependable, and able to lift/carry equipment
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- A self-starter who can take ownership of the booth
- Organized and detail-oriented, especially with setup and cash handling
