Crew Member/ Shift Lead

As a Crew Member at Cold Stone Creamery in Westerly, RI, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for creating our signature ice cream products, interacting with customers, and ensuring that our store operates smoothly. Your duties will encompass various tasks, including customer service, store operations, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

   • Greet and welcome customers with a positive attitude.
   • Assist customers in selecting ice cream flavors, mix-ins, and other products.
   • Prepare and serve ice cream creations according to company standards.
   • Handle customer inquiries and provide product recommendations.
   • Manage customer transactions, including operating the cash register and handling payments.
   • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

2. Store Operations:

   • Assist in opening and closing the store according to the established procedures.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the customer seating area, preparation stations, and storage areas.
   • Restock products and supplies as needed throughout your shift.
   • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the quality and safety of products.
   • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.

3. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure efficient store operations.
   • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any operational challenges.
   • Assist in training new crew members as needed.

4. Handling Escalations:

   • Address customer complaints and escalations with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
   • Report any unresolved issues to the shift supervisor or store manager for further assistance.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
