Hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday thru Friday with one hour for lunch

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teachers to join our nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering the development and well-being of children in our care. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and growth for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the developmental needs of children from infancy through preschool.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents that occur.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.

Experience

Must have 45 hrs DCF required

  • A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
  • CPR/first aid training preferred or willing to obtain it within 30 days of being hired.
  • Experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers or preschools is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage children in meaningful activities are crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay rate: $14.00

Work Location: In person

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development tailored for two-year-olds.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while maintaining high standards of child welfare and safety.
  • Manage classroom routines including circle time, play-based learning activities, nap schedules, and meal times with effective classroom management strategies.
  • Use behavior management techniques to guide positive behavior and support emotional regulation among toddlers.
  • Collaborate with families through regular communication about each child's progress, milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education practices, and early intervention strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
