Job Description
Title: Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment
Location: Frisco, TX 75033
Pay: $16.50-$22.00/hour (Based on experience and level of Pharmacy Technician licensure: Trainee, Licensed, Certified)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. A defined schedule will be provided upon offer and hire scheduled between the pharmacy's operational hours (7:00 AM and 6:30 PM).

Join a nationally recognized specialty pharmacy that provides medications and support for patients managing complex and chronic health conditions. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist with the preparation and fulfillment of prescription medications while supporting the prescription processing workflow. This role involves resolving prescription exceptions, entering prescription information, researching insurance claim issues, assisting with patient and provider communications, and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced Pharmacy Technicians and registered Pharmacy Technician Trainees looking to build their careers in a specialty pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process prescription medications using the pharmacy fulfillment system.
- Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and coordinating outreach to members and physicians.
- Enter member demographic information and prescription details accurately into the pharmacy processing system.
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member concerns.
- Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or guidance on prescription processing.
- Assist with inbound and outbound phone calls involving patients, physicians, and other healthcare partners.
- Maintain accurate documentation while following pharmacy procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience highly preferred.
- Current Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration or Pharmacy Technician Trainee Registration required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred but not required.
