CDL Driver
Job Description
The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely transporting general freight using a straight truck primarily on local routes. This role requires adherence to all driving and safety regulations while working night shifts and ensuring timely delivery of cargo.
This is a night shift position that requires garbage collection.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Strong defensive driving skills
- Ability to plan routes efficiently
Responsibilities
- Operate straight truck to transport general freight on local routes
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure vehicle is maintained and perform basic inspections before and after trips
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations for commercial driving
- Load and unload cargo as needed, securing shipments properly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route progress and any issues
